Tom Cruise Marriages End When Wives Are 33, Scientology Established On 33rd Parallel!
Creepy coincidence or Scientology science!?!
Just like the headline reads, all three of Tom Cruise's marriages have ended when the wives were 33.
He wed MiMi Rogers in May of 1987, but they broke up in 1990… when she was 33. Then he moved on with Nicole Kidman. They were happy for ten years but [...]

This must have been so, SO cool!
Last night, Sophie's Choice co-stars Kevin Kline and Meryl Streep were reunited due to the call of Shakespeare, as they took on the title roles in a one-night-only benefit reading of Romeo + Juliet, in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the opening of the Delacorte Theater in Central Park!
And not only were they accompanied by original music by award-winning composer Jeanine Tesori, they had some support from stars like Christine Baranksi, F. Murray Abraham, Jesse L. Martin, Sandra Oh, Jerry Stiller, and Christopher Walken!
Ch-ch-check out some photos of the cast and crew during their curtain call (above and below)!
Gah!
We are so jealous that we weren't there to enjoy such a once-in-a-lifetime-opportunity!
But then again, this was one that cost $1,500 a pop! Ha!

Alanis Morissette Debuts Breezy New Album Cover!
Check out that magical meadow! We'd give anything to be THERE right now!
Seriously. This beautiful album cover is such a breath of fresh air. Sunshine, flowers, Alanis Morissette… pure perfection if you ask us!
Reminds us of the nineties (even if her sound has evolved)!
And speaking of her sound, we think Havoc and [...]
Really, HBO execs? Of alllll the racy, controversial sh*t you display - which is WHY we adore you so - a prosthetic head on a spike that looks like George W. Bush is what you find ‘unacceptable, disrespectful and in very bad taste?’ Ha!!
We guffawed until our guts were sore upon the discovery of a Game of Thrones prop secret - the former President’s likeness impaled on a spike in King’s Landing - which show creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss divulge during DVD commentary of Season One, episode 10.
But HBO is NOT amused! Execs recently issued the statement:
"We were deeply dismayed to see this and find it unacceptable, disrespectful and in very bad taste. We made this clear to the executive producers of the series, who apologized immediately for this inadvertent careless mistake. We are sorry this happened and will have it removed from any future DVD production."
Benioff and Weiss have since apologized, and released their own statement:
“After the scene was already shot, someone pointed out that one of the heads looked like George W. Bush. In the DVD commentary, we mentioned this, though we should not have. We meant no disrespect to the former president and apologize if anything we said or did suggested otherwise."
We understand business’ covering their bases and not wanting to alienate/offend a certain demographic... but this is HBO! Turn on an Episode of GIRLS and you can watch a young twenty-somethings having fantasy, pedophile sex!
AND Game of Thrones consistently features incest! Their whole deal - much like Rihanna - is not giving a f*ck what people think!
A little hypocritical, perhaps? It's a prop for goodness sake!

Watch: Nelly Furtado Releases Homemade Music Video For Big Hoops
From the first moment that I learned that Ridley Scott was releasing a new sci-fi film, I was immediately excited by the prospect of being wowed by another brilliant film. The promo trailers that we have seen over the last few months for Prometheus looked promising so I was really looking forward to seeing the film for myself. Last night, David and I ventured out to see Prometheus and, I’m sorry to say, it was not a film that I could really love. Scott does an amazing job with the direction but the writing left MUCH to be desired. Prometheus was co-written by Lost creator Damon Lindelof and therein lies the problem.
Firstly, I really must stress that Prometheus is a beautiful film to watch. Ridley Scott‘s vision of the future is, as usual, really wonderful to behold … even the bad parts, Scott manages to make the fantasy world of the future look like art. BUT, a film is made up of more than just how it looks. From the start, the story and plot of Prometheus felt weak and it just kept getting worse as the film unfolded (and the film’s weaknesses had Lindelof written all over them). What really bothered me from the start was how poorly fleshed out the characters are. This film features a collection of SCIENTISTS who practice the absolute worst science ever. Upon landing on an alien planet, they just all decide to take their helmets off. Sure, why not. Then they start touching things that they have traveled billions of miles to study without any concern about how they might alter or destroy the artifacts they came to study. THEN when presented with a new snakelike life form, they decide to just reach out and touch it … pet it, as if it were a stray kitten. I mean, yes, this may sound petty but I could not for the life of me reconcile that we are to believe that any scientists would travel to the other side of the universe and then act like a bunch of idiots. If a film can’t impress me with such important details then how can I be expected to suspend belief about other things? The story overall is not really solid or cohesive. We are left to make huge extrapolations in an attempt to … well, I’m not sure what. This movie felt like it was trying to conjure up big, larger than life questions but, at least for me, it only served to dump a heaping pile of stuff on the screen and then end. There were things that I liked, particularly the allusions to other Ridley Scott films (if you know what I’m getting at) and I felt the last 30 seconds were the best part of the whole film. So while I did not love the film, I can’t say that I hated it either.
Here’s a note to file away, if you are ever running from a massive and round ship that is rolling toward you … don’t run IN FRONT OF IT because you could get smashed. Try running to the left or to the right and let it roll past you. I just wanted to put that out there.
Despite my disappointment, David and I did have fun last night:
Today, I have a few errands to do but it should be a pretty fun day. I hope YOU are having a great Saturday!

Amanda Bynes Is Hanging With Mister Cooper On The Ridiculist
For the Silver Fox, this is like shooting fish in a barrel!
We knew we weren’t the only ones rolling our eyes at Amanda Bynes’ Tweet-tastically silly appeal to President Obama this week.

Who knew when a little bundle of love was born on March 25, 1942 in Memphis, TN that she'd one day become the Queen of Soul??
...AND! AND!
She'd also become an honorary graduate from Princeton University with a doctorate!
It's true! Aretha Franklin was one of the six people to receive an honorary degree from the Ivy League university.
Stephen Oxman, the university's orator and trustee, presented the honor with great enthusiasm:
"With her singular Amazing Grace, she continues to traverse musical bridges over troubled water, and by reminding us to think, do right and call on her, the Queen of Soul will forever command the world's R-E-S-P-E-C-T."
WERK. IT. GURL.
We're so proud of her. With as much as she knows about music and the industry, she definitely deserves a doctorate from the college, that's for sure!
These will go great with the ones she received from Berklee College of Music and Yale University! Ha!

Bristol Palin BOMBS! New Show TANKS In The Ratings!!!
Sorry gurl!
Practically NO ONE watched Bristol Palin's new reality series, Bristol Palin: Life’s A Tripp!

As one of the most sparkling queens of country music, Carrie Underwood has a good chunk of her fan-base living in the bible-belt.
So when she decided to publicly support gay marriage, she endured some of the most fiery backlash we've ever seen!
It's funny too. Most of the people condemning Carrie used religion in their reasoning, yet it was their fiery feedback that roared with hate.
After being called a "disgrace" and being accused of working with the devil, Carrie finally responded to all of their hell in a statement, saying:
"I was asked a difficult question in the last five minutes of an interview and I answered it the best way I knew how, and after that I do what I do and I love making music and I generally try to stay out of any kind of controversy.
The role-model word is really scary to me, because no matter what happens in your life, something you do, wear, say, sing, whatever—somebody somewhere is probably not going to like it too well.
I just really try hard to do what I do and try to be nice to people and make great music and if people think they can look up to that, that's wonderful. If not, that's OK too."
So classy!
She definitely understands love one another, that's for sure!
We're proud of you, gurl. Stay strong and don't back down! A little controversy means you've stood up for something you believe in.
And standing up for gay marriage doesn't harm anyone or hinder civil rights, so even better! Ha!

Sorry Men In Black III!
After the sci-fi three-quel finally knocked The Avengers off of its box office thrown last weekend, it appears that Snow White and the Huntsman is set to take the number one spot this weekend, as it's already made an impressive $20.3 million in one day of its release in 3,772 theaters across the country, and is projected to have garnered $55 million by Sunday!
And that's not all!
As it also opened in 45 other countries yesterday, it's also made $39.3 million overseas alone!
Shiz! Those are some seriously impressive numbers!

Looks like Zhang Ziyi isn't taking these prostitution rumors lightly!
According to various reports circulating the web, The Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon actress was allegedly paid millions of dollars for an Indecent Proposal-type deal with Chinese politician Bo Xilai and others between 2004-2007!
But now, she and her publicist are not only speaking out to deny it all, but they want an apology from the website on which the report originated!
Her rep explains:
"We read this outrageous report in the Apple Daily. It sent stone-cold chills down our spines and has left us with a feeling of deep sadness. Friends have advised us to release a short statement and not take this seriously. The more you argue, the more you will stir up. It would be better to step aside until people lose interest and the lies disappear. The innocent will always be innocent. We just want to help her get rid of this disturbance and seek justice. Then she will be able to shoot her films in peace and quiet and present you, her fans, with more and better films in return."
Aww! It sounds like she is really taking this to heart!
Don't worry, gurl! We have no idea if it's true, but if it's not, we're sure this will all fizzle away very soon!

Watch: Gary Barlow Releases A Music Video For The Official Diamond Jubilee Single Sing
Last night David and I met up with our friends Gray and Jeff for a double dinner date at Tortilla Republic in West Hollywood, CA and had ourselves an amazingly delicious time. Since we’ve been home from Todos Santos, Mexico, David and I have stayed away from Mexican food because we fear that nothing that we eat here will come close to measuring up to the delicious food we experienced in Mexico … but we couldn’t stay away forever. I’m happy to say that the food at Tortilla Republic was great … but the company was even better.
It has been many weeks since we got to hang out with Gray and Jeff (we hadn’t seen them since we all went to The Magic Castle back in March) so we were long overdue for a hang sesh. We love those guys … it’ll be so fun seeing them get married in September :) Yes, they are wedding #7 of our 8 weddings this year. While we hung out at the restaurant for a while, we decided to call it an early night.
After far too many days of exhaustion, I think I’m finally ready to get moving again. On the advice of David and quite a few of you Pink readers, I decided to take the day yesterday to rest up and recuperate before I get to running again. I know it seems like I may have been pushing myself too hard over the past few months with my new running hobby but honestly, I’ve been really smart about my training. I did come down with something in NYC last week so that’s why I’ve been so wiped all week long. I’m feeling better today. I’d say I’m at 90% so I’m ready to head out for a run again. I’m gonna see how long/far I can go … I have a feeling today’s run is going to be a good one.
Happy Saturday, Happy Weekend! Have fun, y’all!!

Courtney Love Poses With BFF Gwyneth Paltrow, Gives Her Artwork
Yesterday was still very much a quiet day for me … ever since I got home from NYC Monday night, I’ve felt pretty cruddy. My throat has been sore, I’ve been really phlegmy and totally exhausted. I haven’t had the energy to go for a run since I did my 6 miles in Central Park on Monday so I’m itching to get out there again (I didn’t even make it out to see my concert last night). I thought I’d be up for a run yesterday but I just couldn’t do it. Today’s the day, tho, I’m gonna try and run for as long as possible to keep my weekly milage up. All of this exhausted downtime has afforded me the opportunity to read, to, so I’m happy to report that I’m just over halfway thru A Clash of Kings, book 2 of George R.R. Martin‘s series A Song of Ice and Fire.
As you may know, season of of the HBO series Game of Thrones is based on A Clash of Kings so I’ve been really enjoying watching the eps and reading the book. I’ve noticed that there are quite a few differences from the book than the TV series … much more so than was different in season one. I started rewatching the eps from season two last night to help me keep the book in context — which is very helpful — but I’m really looking forward to moving on to the subsequent books and finishing them before season 3 of Game of Thrones debuts on HBO next year.
But, as much as I’ve been enjoying all the reading, I’m kinda anxious to get back to the running. If I’m going to run 2 half marathons and a full marathon later this year, I have to keep up my training. I should be breaking the 9 mile mark soon. Tonight, David and I have a double date with our friends Gray and Jeff so that will be fun. I hope all y’all are having a great Friday and will have a happy weekend ahead!

Jessica Biel And Justin Timberlake Debut As A Future Mr And Mrs At The Met Ball
Yesterday was a banner day for me … I managed to run farther than I ever have before! As you may know (well, by now), I’ve been trying to keep up my running training. Last week, I managed to run 7 miles … yesterday, I ran 8. I can’t even tell you how crazy it is for me to keep hitting these new plateaus … and no one is more surprised than I am :)
There are days when you can just tell you’re going to have a great run. Some days, you just don’t feel it … yesterday, I did. I knew going into my run that I was going to be able to run for a long time. I was hoping for 8 miles but I didn’t want to get my heart set too early. Once I hit the 5 mile mark, I kind realized that I could go the distance. Believe me, runs like this are not easy. I had to slow down a few times to reserve some energy and rehydrate myself (I’m a big sweater, as gross as that may sound) but I managed to keep going, going, going. I cannot even tell you how good it feels to hit a new distance goal. It’s the best feeling in the world when you realize that you’ve beaten your personal best. I’ve determined that taking (at least) a day off in between runs really helps me in the long run. If my legs have time to heal and recuperate from long runs, they are better able to go a little farther the next time.
Tonight, I’m attending an informational meeting to find out if I’m ready to seriously engage in marathon training. I’ve been toying with the idea of taking on a 26.2 marathon before the end of the year and tonight, I’ll have more information on whether or not I’m ready to take on such a task. OY! We’ll see. Happy Tuesday!

Mira Sorvino Welcomes Her Fourth Child Into The World
Jennifer Lopez is featured in a new music video but this time, the video isn’t hers. JLo provides a guest performance on the song Follow the Leader by the duo Wisin & Yandel. As you can see below, the video (which I understand was directed by JLo‘s toyboy Casper Smart) features Jenny from the block trying to look and act like a G alongside her homies. The song is just OK but the video is semi-entertaining. Check it out.
The vid’s not bad, eh? Meh. I guess. It’ll prolly not surprise you to learn that Wisin & Yandel will be opening up for Jennifer Lopez and Enrique Iglesias on tour this Summer … so if you want to see more, you might want to nab some tickets to see their upcoming tour. Honestly, these guys do nothing for me … but I still do really want to see Jennifer Lopez live in concert. Do you?

Aussie pop princess Kylie Minogue is releasing yet another greatest hits album set for release here in the US next month. As longtime KM fans are WELL aware, Kylie (or, to be more specific, her record labels) has released numerous greatest hits packages over the years. Back in the mid-90′s, it wasn’t uncommon for a new Kylie Minogue greatest hits album (or singles collection) to come out almost every other year in various incarnations, in countries all around the world. What makes this collection different, I think, is that it’s the first greatest hits album released here in the US and, of course, it contains songs from Kylie‘s most recent albums. Click below to check out the album’s cover artwork and see which songs will be included on this latest greatest hits collection.
EMI Catalog will release The Best of Kylie Minogue on June 19. The album features 21 of the best known Kylie songs from her incredible 25-year career, on one disc. The tracks were chosen by the fans through extensive market research conducted by EMI late last year. 18 of the tracks were top 5 in the UK, including 5 number 1’s! A Special Edition CD/DVD will also be made available, with the DVD featuring all the accompanying videos. Kylie’s first single, “Locomotion” (later re-titled by Pete Waterman as The Loco-Motion”) was released on July, 28 1987 … 25 years ago this July! She is celebrating this milestone throughout the year with an eclectic program of musical releases, performances, collaborations, publications, merchandise, film and other surprises. She recently headlined The Mardi Gras in Sydney before immediately embarking upon her bold and much anticipated Anti Tour. Next month sees her performing for the Queen’s Jubilee in front of Buckingham Palace and later headlining Proms in the Park, followed by a continuing series of surprises, world-wide.
The tracklisting for The Best of Kylie Minogue is:
Can’t Get You Out Of My Head
Spinning Around
I Should Be So Lucky
Love At First Sight
In Your Eyes
Kids (with Robbie Williams)
Better The Devil You Know
All The Lovers
Give Me Just A Little More Time
Celebration
Slow
Red Blooded Woman
I Believe In You
On A Night Like This
Confide In Me
Get Outta My Way
The Loco-Motion
Tears On My Pillow
Wow
In My Arms
Never Too Late
Even tho I own every single one of these songs each on their own individual albums and single releases, this new Kylie Minogue collection is a must own for me. I mean, how amazing is the cover art? For this amazing photo alone, the album is worth buying. It’s crazy to think that Kylie‘s debut single was released 25 years ago this Summer. What’s even more crazy is that I vividly remember buying Minogue‘s debut album Kylie from the Woolworth store at the end of my block … literally a lifetime ago. This collection will hopefully give newer US fans a taste of some of the fantastic music that Kylie has been putting out for the last quarter century. Love this. If you don’t own these Kylie songs, you must get your hands on this greatest hits collection. Trust me, it’s MUST OWN.

Amy Poehler And Jimmy Fallon Improvise Movie Plots! (Hollywood, Take Notes!)
OOOOH MAN!
WHY aren't all these movies real??
Last night on Late Night, Amy Poehler and Jimmy Fallon ad-libbed story lines for fake movie posters starring the two of them!
Among the best plots was a fantasy movie with Amy sporting hands where her boobies should be, a comedy where every scene took place in an [...]
This is absolutely MASSIVE - even including the amount of records this masterpiece has already broken!
Adele's incredible second album, 21, has pretty much taken over the world, and now, has surpassed Michael Jackson's Thriller on the UK's biggest selling albums list with 4,274,300 copies sold - 500 more than the late king of pop's 1982 classic!
However, that still only places it at spot 5, behind Oasis' (What's The Story) Morning Glory?, ABBA's Gold, The Beatles with Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club, and at number one with 5.83 million copies sold, Queen's Greatest Hits!
Still - a HUGE accomplishment!
Especially because Thriller dominates that list INTERNATIONALLY!
But hey! It's got about a 30-year head start on our Goddess!
With the way she's been selling, we don't doubt that the album sales will only CONTINUE to climb, gurl!
Congrats, congrats again!

Watch: Garbage Releases A Rehearsal Performance Video For Battle In Me
Madonna is featured on the cover of the new issue of Italian Vanity Fair magazine in order to promote the release of her newest album M.D.N.A. but also to promote the release of her first ever fragrance Truth or Dare. As you can see below, Maddy‘s VF coverphoto was shot during the promo video shoot for Truth or Dare by Madonna (and is likely an outtake photo from the fragrance shoot). The black and white photo is striking … check it out.
While I feel Maddy‘s hair is a bit too Margaret Thatcher circa 1984, I think it’s a very Madonna photo. As far as I know, the photos from inside the magazine have yet to be released but, again, it’s likely that those photos will also be outtake snaps from the Truth or Dare photoshoot. What do we think of Her Madesty on the cover of Italian Vanity Fair? Do we like?

Watch: Britney Spearss Sons Dance To We No Speak Americano By Yolanda Be Cool Dcup
Rihanna released her latest music video today for her single Where Have You Been, and we have it here for you to watch. The pop star tweeted, “It’s time for #WhereHaveYouBeen! Can we get da most @VEVO video views EVER in 24 hrs starting NOW!” The music video is fun and catchy, it’s full of tribal images, Ri-Ri looks great, and I actually think this could be a winner. Check it out and see what you think…
Rihanna went to her official Facebook page to announce the news and post the video. She said, “Call out to ALL of the Rihanna Navy!!! “Where Have You Been” video world premiere is now live on VEVO…!! How many video views can we get in 24 hours? Watch and SHARE to show your Navy pride!!”
There is definitely more of the old Rihanna in this video. I actually really like the theme and dance sequences, and the photography is pretty spectacular, particularly at the beginning and end of the video. I’m interested to see whether she gains back old fans through this video. In recent times, Rihanna hasn’t been on everyone’s favorite list, but objectively, I think this is a great video, which has been done well. It is definitely enjoyable to watch! What do y’all think though??

Hilary Duff Tweets Yet Another Adorable Pic Of Luca Monkey Cruz
Last night, Darion and I got together with our friends Tamar, Ollie and Caleb in Hollywood for what was supposed to be a quick drink hang before Tamar, Ollie and Caleb went to a concert nearby. What was supposed to be an hour get together turned into a 3 hour roundtable discussion of any and everything. It turned out to be one of those perfect nights … time truly flies when you’re having fun.
It’s been a while since I’ve gotten to spend time with these friends so I was really thrilled to just hang out with them all last night. We kinda moved into a boot at Kitchen 24 and ate and drank … and drank and drank. ‘Twas fun. Earlier in the day, I ran decent 3.5 miles … you know, no big.
Tonight, David and I are heading out to hang out with the newlyweds Emma and Josh before they embark on their month long honeymoon. I believe there is some unfinished wedding business to handle so … that should be fun. Happy Thursday!

Val Kilmer Must Need Some Cash! Sells Property In New Mexico At Drastically Reduced Price!
The best Batman ever is in desperate need of money? Say it ain't so!
Way back in December, we reported that Val Kilmer owed the IRS almost $500,000 in unpaid federal taxes, after he had just settled ANOTHER debt a few months prior.
Guess Val's money problems continue, because he just sold the majority of his ranch [...]
We began our marathon of musicals on Friday night by attending Rock Of Ages, a show that is going to be on Broadway for a long time!
It is the definition of a FEEL-GOOD show! Even the most jaded of theatergoers can't help but walk away from it with a smile on their face!
And, there's the big all-star cast film version coming out next year! So the whole world will be Rockin!
We first saw Rock Of Ages about 4 years ago in Los Angeles, in a production that starred our friends Laura Bell Bundy and Willam Belli, as well as the adorable Tom Lenk and awesome Dan Finnerty.
The show has come a long way since then! But the heart and soul - and rock! - of it remain the same.
And the current Broadway cast is fab!
Can't wait to see even more shows over the next week in New York!
Bring it!!!!
